After switching over to a bike with a newer engine, I don't have time or motivation to keep two.
My 900, with untidy front bodywork (plastic welded etc, vinyl wrapped to hide sins, heavily scratched front mudguard), no infill panels so bottom edges of the side panels flap a little bit
113,000 miles. Engine smokes from right cylinder once warmed. And if idling, and hot, in traffic, it can smoke a bit more.
I was going to buy a 14,000 mile engine off ebay for £550 but chose a different route.
It is what it is, a well used bike with lots of serviceable life in most of it's mechanical parts. I expect the engine issue will only worsen with time. No symptoms of any other problem, gears and clutch good. 3 of the 6 clutch springs are upgraded to reduce slipping, performance clutch plates less than 10k miles old
Good calipers (rear caliper needs new bleed nipple)
Swingarm, swingarm bearings, shock link all greased a couple thou miles ago
Fork seals and bushes changed within last 10k miles
Steering bearing good, wheel bearings good.
Wheels a bit corroded, need a refurb or live with them, Cush rubbers are original, so have a little bit of play now
Nearly new tyres PR5 rear, PR4 front.
Braided front hoses
Gold, not black, frame
Recent chain, not high end <blush>, recent front sprocket
Tank is Good, colour Galaxy Blue.
Rear seat fairing is black, with a bit of pale discolouration on right side
It actually could well pass the MOT, which is due next weekend
I can possibly deliver in the next week, by arrangement, and your help with travel cost home (I live near Edinburgh)
Tax ran out yesterday so the new owner would obviously need to tax it before I can ride it
Not sure I can find the rear indicators, I'm removing luggage rack with inbuilt indicators. I can hand signal
Advertised elsewhere.
