As part of the "Gdog" winter refirb project on the 850 I thought it would be an ideal time what with the rad, tank & carbs off to give the ignition system a spruce up ie clean up HT coil connections & carrier brackets, replace the plugs & HT leads. Read a few posts regarding ignition issues and iffy running due to poor quality OEM leads so chose not to go down the "original parts" route, had a gander on Google and found a company in Bromsgrove specialising in performance lead sets, gave them a call, spoke to a chap called Aiden, explained what I needed, top fella really helpful.
On my 4TX the leads just screw into the coils (poss the same on all other models !!) so only needed plain leads with no connections either end but they would happily have made me a custom set if required. I brought a meter length of their HQ Copper Core Lead (L99CS). photo below.

It was 4:95p postage free, and was here in 2 days as promised.
Well impressed.
Just heated the original leads up to get the plastic protective sleeves off, slipped them over the new leads and secured it in place with a dab of super glue, job done.
I'll let you know how they work once the bike is back together and on the road in the spring.
