great to 'see' you all and that some have had their bikes a long time, while I haven't had 'mine' consistently it has been family owned, it hopefully returns to me on Friday,
I will wash it and take it out for a good ride to assess what it might need other than cosmetics,
I now have a replacement fuel tank and top yoke, new headlights and horns, I also have most of the paint except engine paint, not sure what to do with that yet as the engine cases have deep grazes to fill

haven't looked on there yet, I'll fill the cases with chemical metal and if I can't create a similar bronze colour then I'll paint the whole engine black

Tig weld and sand back ?
that would work but I only have a mig welder, I have used chemical metal to stick engine logo's on in the past with no trouble so it should be ok as a filler, the other option is to look for unwanted engine cases,
hopefully I'll know more tomorrow as the bike should be coming home

well it's home now, there is a lot to do to get it to top condition again, it's the 2 right hand engine cases that are damaged but should be ok with filling and painting, the hardest thing to fix will be the scraping on the stainless 'logo' on the exhaust, I'll start another thread on the 'all about TDM' bit
