Hello!

At last now that we have broadband and I can use my laptop (because Tony hogs the computer)and I can put up the Tartiflette recipe....

Camp fire Tartiflette:

Ingredients are

Potatoes
Onion
Lardons
Creme Fraiche
White wine (Steal this from two Kerry bikers if possible)
Reblochon Cheese
Oil for the onions

You'll need

A big pot (Steal this from a Belgian)
A camp fire

How to

Peel the potatoes then boil them until they're almost cooked
Drain them and cut them into 1-2cm thick slices
Finely slice the onion and sweat in a big pan
Add the lardons until nice and brown
Add wine mmm let it cook and reduce a bit
Add the creme fraiche (If you're not prone to heart attacks you could use cream)
Chuck in the cheese and let it melt
Add the potatoes and feed to hungry bikers (If they are hairy and called Tony then even better)

At Home Tartiflette

Add the lardons until nice and brown

Get a baking dish
add a layer of potatoes
then a layer of sauce
then potatoes
then sauce
potatoes
sauce (you get the idea)
Break the reblochon into big chunks and put on top
Stick into the oven for about 15min to 30 min until the cheese is melted and golden.
Make sure you drink the rest of the wine al la Keith Floyd.

Serve with a salad to pretend it's healthy tongue.gif

Camp fire Tartiflette:

And heartily recommended by all who tasted it, in fact it didn't seem to last too long once people had tried it. good.gif

Brilliant Kris. Thanks for sharing. We seem to have all the ingredients to hand except for a Belgian.
