Thanks Trotski and Wills for the positive. The thing about a "weekender" for those that cant make a weekday break makes the period tuesday 19 (or monday night) to sunday 24 as the rally period sound sensible doesnt it? Maybe the Saturday as the "big" photo op of the rally group? Does it need to go longer?

If you want to have a long ride for everyone, maybe TDUT2011 should be at Uluru. ( I'd be in that one too)

Hi all, this link will take you to a page giving a bit of info and images of the rides that have been described earlier. Please feel free to make comment or whatever, its really good to get feedback. There are more ride options than we can do most likely and the weather will play a major role. The weather can be absolutely anything and it wont be the same in all the places. For what its worth the last couple of years have had a cold and or wet week leading to PI, it clears over that weekend and is pretty good for the next week or so, early spring weather, which means cold mornings and nights with possible early frosts. Daytime highs at the most in the mid teens, up higher it will be around 10c at most with scenic snow on the peaks (not on road). But usually the sun is shining and it is JUST MAGNIFICENT. Having said all this I have no doubt mozzed it, and who knows what will happen.

I second that.....that has to be the best collection of rides and locations ever conceived in one space/time continuum. Even those Buchan Caves got a look in !

Could be a good idea to show our interest in having it.
Graeme' suggested base camp & ride options are excellent & I reckon' the TDUT could be great thing to do each year. Tying in after the Phillip Is GP would be icing on the cake if we can organise ourselves.
I note the boys around Sydney area have been quiete on this. What's up with that ?
October is a fair way off but it'll be here quicker than you can say " TDM 900's Rock !!!"

At this stage I can only plan on getting there late on the Friday.
Alpine camp looks like a good thing. Plenty of room and the price is right.
