Stink oi found carb prob...

Pilot jet was "loose".

It just fell out instead of unscrewing (no force applied).

Cock badgers!!!!

Weirdly it was still in tut hole even though it looks like its been flapping around in there for a while.

Any suggestions? ಠ︵ಠ

It should look loike this (squiggly bit still deeply embedded in carb):

I await Mr Henty's advice on removal technique.

I've an idea, but it seems a bit fraught with danger.

I think all attempts will have a good dose of that steve!!

R'kid is trying to convince me it can be done with watch makers reamers but I'm not so keen!!

I reckon these are the correct dimensions.

Can you twat a torx screwdriver up it's rectum and undo with that, the brass should be soft enough to get a grip.
Easyout types will likely expand the brass and make it tighter.

My Brian obviously did some thunkin while I did some snooing. Woke up and thought...how did it break there....only thing could be torque (def not) or vibration....ahhh vibration....loose...i couldnt be THAT lucky...so I got a suitably sized watchmakers reemer and.....

Tadaaaa.....the remains were not screwed in tightly and easily reversed out! Phewwwwwwww

So has been loose for a long while I suspect.

Thanks for suggestions chapsssss

Little buzzer buzzing the bits good. Just having initial tests with warm water while waiting for carb goo to arrive for cleaner and already shifting plenty of crud that carb cleaner spray missed.

Think with a bit of wriggling oil be able to buzz carb body too section by section.

Put it in a big yoghurt pot or some such with water/cleaner and put that in the buzzer, also with water.

This tiny ultrasonic doohickey is ace. I ran it with just water and it did a great job. The water started looking clear at the end of the process. Then i got special carb cleaner and a whole load more crud came out.

Carbs now beautifully clean and waiting for new pilot jet before rebuild....

That lille ultrasonic thing really worked well. Very surprised. All bits had multiple baths. I used just warm water to start which did great. Then added some specific for carbs goo to the bath and that shifted even more crud.

Oil let ewe know if it works when fitted.... Prolly 2025..ish
