Got the wheels fitted to the bike and got the back sitting on its new Hyperpro springs.
Just have to await new plastic rivets to put the hugger back on and give the TDM a good clean.

My tiny brain finally correlated the almost imperceptible increase in snatchiness on low speed pick-up with the equally slight slow down of tick over. The bike has always idled at 1100 rpm but over the last few weeks (months?) it has slowed down by about 500 rpm. Increased it to 1250 as an experiment and the improvement is amazing. Now picks up from tight second gear corners with no snatch or jerk. Worth a bit more experimenting to find the optimum minimum tick over speed.
Wonder why it slowed down anyway.

Guess it depends on what you order from them seat wise, I have to say the first one they sent was wrong! It had little space for the rider, this seat is lowered and has gel inserts, it's better for me is I'm a short arse, the old seat was ok but as flat and wide it was arkward when my pillion jumps on without warning as she often does The TS seats are expensive and I doubt I'd by another I have one on my XJR and kind of hoped that the TDM one would be as good, but I am on the fence with it, I'm happy but am stuck with it now.
Make sure your "seated" for the price, and check the deals for bargains.
My XJR and Top Sellerie seat I got for FREE!

So what does the Carpe collective think leave it at 35 mm of rider sag or go full on the preload?

Managed to make the door bigger on one of the sheds to get the TDM in, don't know what to do with all the crap that was in there now though.
Anyone need any old tins of paint or xl250/500 parts?
Next is fit the fender extender and put the slack right in the chain, yea to tight.

Poor phone pic, on the inside of the 02> swingarm there are two small holes, you can slip a rubber well nut into the hole and cut a plastic mud flap and use the two fixings holes to hold it in place! helps stop mud from the rear wheel coating the lower linkage and shock:-
and this is the fender extender extender
Trim up the second one to fit inside the first, I'd add another but she would look like some kind of electroglideroadkingharley maybe a little ott.
