if anyone fancies having a go at cycling the course on hired bikes (or else shipping their own bikes beforehand), with a stop at a couple of pubs en route the link below covers some discussion on the TT forum

it is perhaps a way to sample the history of this famous stretch of road from close contact (not too close I hope)

I passengered a race sidecar at Jurby road circuit and got a ride in a bus shelter in Castletown - quite a week!
