Made some more headway with the fuel cut defeat device.

The hardest part has been to create a simulated series of injector pulses which take place at the same time as the genuine hardware based ones.

The blue lower trace shows injector pulses at the injector.

The yellow trace above the blue trace shows the 'computed' pulses

I now need to add detection for the absence of genuine pulses, then substitute the missing pulses with the computed ones, back to the injector, to make the injector fire an 'idling engine' amount of fuel, at just the right time.

It runs, so some diesel is apparently squirted through them. Local Toyota garage looks into it tomorrow. May be in need of a proper OBD2 tool  :sorry:

Had a steady run about in Northumberland yesterday to test my damaged back (no airhawk), and managed 196 miles on 13.86 litres or about 64 mpg (UK Gallon). Had a short run today but had to return to cut mine and neighbours lawn (also has a damaged back)

Hey Carpers ! Long time no chat but hope alls well.

Still going strong in the TDM life here and bringing Tone-Jr into the fold ( it was inevitable ).

What Ive done recently is to get out more and bring the next generation into the wonderful world of two-wheel heaven. And still living in Scotland so I cant leave the garage without hitting a good road ! Sorry not Sorry

Good luck lads and lasses !
