I have the BMW ones on my 02 900. The only problem is they rub when on full lock.

Snap and snap!

I put up with it as they look good and keep my delicate little hands warm!!

I fitted the vstrom guards to mine a while back which was really easy but only because I had also fitted renthal bars which have nice small domed bar ends. This enables you to fit them using just a penny washer to hold them in place. Will post a picture in the next day or so. wink.gif

what renthal bars have you fitted and have you any photos of them fitted unsure.gif cheers v-tec

I've now added spoilers to the Acerbis on my Mk2 900 and they work well. Late January, 30+ miles in summer gloves and I can still feel my fingers.

Sorry for delay in aswering V-tec. Have been very busy the last week or so and forgot to take pics for posting, will try to do so in next few days. However, the renthal bars I have are approx the same shape as the standard 900 tdm ones c/w crossbar, sorry can't remember the renthal name but I know the're not the streetfighter ones cos I bought them by mistake and had to send em back. dry.gif

Sorry for the delay - computer problems.

The extensions came from Demon Tweeks, where I got the original guards - about £17 including P&P. Dead easy to fit. And yes they do work - 100 miles in summer gloves no problem.

You just need to adjust them a bit, you can end up with 5mm clearance if you crank them round a bit...you need to force them a bit, but boy they are tuff!

b*ll*cks! i knew someone would want a pic. Will try & oblige, though.

Part no is 6000207910030, can see them on the KTM website. Are actually made by Polisport, who seem to have a choice of thousands on their website.

Loads of discussions and loads of browsh guards but I still don't know which on will fit my 9er 2008, I found this on eBay based on your serial number, thanks for that, do you know if it will fit my bike?

they look the same as mine - best I can say really.

Like a lot of ebay stuff, think they're actually cheaper from KTM if you've got a local dealer. Mine was happy to try them on in the carpark before buying, too.

Also got a ride on a deadly 950 Supermoto when I was there.....

There's always room for some yellow! They do them in lots of colours - silver/white/blue/red/black/yellow (and another yellow, it seems)

Hi All

I have some KTM handguards with tapped stainless bar ends, which I bought for the Fazer, will report soon whether they fit my new TDM, in the meantime does anyone already know the answer ?

Another thought,

Just had fitted the Acerbis dual road handguards (£60 and fairly new on the market I believe) which attach on the bar ends only, so you don't have to worry about fitting them around the cables and other gubbins. I have them in black to compliment my gorgeous yellow paintwork and I think they look good.

Only done about 20 miles but they seem to do the job.

As my little girl is only 3 days old, when I get a moment I will get a couple of photo's posted.....honest
