There were other contenders, for reddest face, biggest belly and dirtiest bike competition, but there was some serious cheating in all catergories, with contenders doing last minute mega breakfasts, sun bathing and finding the dirtiest roads to fall into.
So Congratulations to Ryan, Maximus and their mate Dave.
A truely deserving winner.
See what you can think of for next year.
Cheers, Ivan

He did, but his would have won it even before we left for Germany !
and he was caught cheating by dropping his bike in a muddy hole on a dirt track.
The things people do for a bit of bling.

My family know about Mike 'Stormy' Waters as I was on the forum the morning it happened and it brought it home that it can happen to any of us at any time really.
I am writing up the trip along with photos etc. but it's taking longer than I hoped, I'll post up our blog once it's done. Ryan has been doing his own and has posted a link on here.
It was another long run home but without the detours to Liege and Wetzlar, so we got home in 12 hours 45 minutes.
It's Ryan who deserves the trophy, twelve years old and he never wanted to throw the towel in once. Even when he was travel sick three times on the forty one mile journey to Chris Grays house, Ryan still wanted to do this trip, stubborn just like his mam!
We are really touched that you would award the trophy to us. We will try to come up with something suitable for next year.
There is one more thing....
