Sounds horrific that...get well soon. Friend of mine once claimed in their home insurance for a bicycle accident. Might be worth checking.

Doin valve clearances? Use dappers valve shim exchange program and the job will be carroty - Free (other than you postin me yer shims) for sporting members.

Sounds stupid maybe, but my mum swore by laughing for pain distraction/ relief. Her thing was Laurel and Hardy on Youtube.

 

Heat pads may also help as heat detecting nerves are faster than pain detectors and the brain will favour the heat signal.

managed to save a bit for the night time, its worse at night when no distractions.

 

I put on rain and thunder on youtube to help me to sleep too

Update;

been to the fracture clinic today and I'm able to use crutches now after 7 weeks in a bed.

 

Just need to build up my legs again.

 

even better I've managed to do a poo on a proper toilet  :banana:

 

back to work in 6 weeks and a further 6 week light duties. Hopefully strong enough to ride my bike soon.
