It's gonna be one of them days...

One of the mods decided to go crazy this morning corrupting the database... Attempting to restore to my last backup which was yesterday about midday

Managed to recover posts/users/attachments...etc from the corrupted DB and merged them with the old DB, so hopefully no user/posts will be lost

Just doing a few final touches then will reopen the site

same fuel consumption as the TDM850
great fun sliding it round corners on a set of knobblies
not as bad off road as you'd expect from a big bike

worst thing about an S10 is the brakes, you are better off turning round on the seat and farting....

You did'nt even need to do that. I used to automatically shit myself when I tried braking on my Tenere.

RTT Ireland had a few examples. ChrisG followed me as he would go round the corner and I would be hanging onto the front brake going straight on!

Just to let people know..

The DNS servers that have the XTZ750.COM domain on them are down atm...(which is strange for directnic as they are one of the best) Might not effect everyone as it depens on how recently you accessed the site as to if you;ll have the IP in your cache.

If not people can add the IP to thier LMHOSTS file (bit here on where it is and how to use it) and just add the following line on the next blank line

CODE
82.7.38.152     www.xtz750.com

That'll work as long as the domain isn't re-ip'd, as then your localhosts file will trump an internet DNS server, and you'll loose the site again.

Use this as a temp fix, but remember to delete it later...

Oh what fun, hackers found a way in in the last few days.. Left a couple of nice suprises like some proxies, email bots and click bots..

Data's all intact so doing a quick back-up then I'll rebuild the server.. Will make XTZ the priority so should be up in a few hours

It would appear so. Kymmy and her partner were turning out some interesting 4TX powered XTZ’s, rally raid ready, a few years back. Don’t know if they’re still making them but she really knows her motorsport stuff.

Yes, it had pretty much died down to a trickle of posts and i think the admins just pulled the plug. A great pity as there was a lot of useful stuff on there. There's been a few Facebook groups sprung up. I'm feeling very guilty about my XTZ750 sat at the back of the garage now  :hide:

It was a good forum but when they took it over it seemed to change in an odd sort of a way.  They churned out some good stuff.  They also messed up a chaps bike too though.  Facebook appears to be taking over from Website based forums now.
