Had a proper pootle into Wales on Monday with a couple of mates. 13 hour day 380 miles. TDM was flawless, comfy and sipped fuel (especially compared to an MT10)

Fantastic day out, lots of stops for leg stretches and drinks, had to keep hydrated, it was a bit warm!

The best thing about being old is we did all our stupid stuff before the Internet was invented, so there’s no proof.

I loike Wales :)

Had a long weekend up in Staithes, North Yorkshire at the Tees Tornadoes MCC Capt. Cook Rally. Dropped my bike at Saltburn-on-Sea on the way there, got sunburnt when drinking, chatting and sunbathing, had a tour of Leeds city centre on way back thanks to satnav  and no charge left in mobile.

Also had a great time with Favs, Ian and Bill, made new friends, drank a lot, had perfect weather and even won a raffle prize.  Also went to a brill fish n chip shop, the Excelsior chippy in Staithes, https://www.tripadvi...hire_Engla.html

best fish n chips ever !

Bike acquired more 'character', scuffs on pannier, handguard and corner of front fairing, a bent front indicator bracket ( straightened immediately) so no biggie, pannier rack looking a tad out of line, along with bars. Nothing I can't sort.  Dropped at zero mph on a steep negative camber with fully loaded camping gear and other shoite, thankfully lots and lots of people saw me and 2 guys helped me lift it up.

Didn't dampen my weekend though :D

finally did buttertubs pass today, so called as farmers delivering butter to Hawes etc, keep the butter down in these deep fissures which are always cool.

Then off to the manor cafe near Leyburn which is another new one for me, grassington and finally A65, over Sabden and home, 225miles in all.
