Well it's about time I said hello I guess! I've actually had my 900 TDM since Nov '21 but only rode it for the first time last month to take it for an MOT having decided to keep it after all!

When I first got the bike in '21, which I'd bought unseen and online from  a guy who seemed to be genuine, it ran really hot very quickly everytime I started it up and it basically scared me and I thought I'd bought a lemon so I didn't use it. It just sat in the garage on a charger next to my other bikes which do get used! Eventually in December I decided that I'd at least get it MOT'd so it would be easier to possibly pass on in a P/X deal. As it happened the bike ran much cooler on the road so I've decided to hang on to it and I will use it this year now. I think it has the dreaded camchain rattle so I've bought an updated new tensioner which when fitted will hopefully get rid of the rattle.

Looking forward to using the site now.

Hello all.

Owned my 2010 TDM 900A since August, have been enjoying riding around the dales of County Durham since then.

Have been doing bits and pieces to it over the winter and using the valuable information on here to inform my decisions.

So far I have; unplugged the little brown wire from the ECU and made it a much smoother ride, squirted some acf50 into the fast idle plunger and freed that back up so it works again, cleaned up the front brake pistons, and replaced all the fluids whilst on with that.

Next task I'll be undertaking will be to fit the GIVI pannier rack that came with the bike (which requires reloacting the rear indicators ), and hoping they fit with the slighly upswept aftermarket Black Widow cans...

Thanks for all the information in the previous posts over the years

James.
